We used the prototype for this brush for four years without a problem. Our outdoor grill gets used at least 5 times a month and needed a brush that can take it. The long handle does not transfer heat like other brushes and allows the cook to stand back from the heat and smoke. This brush is also great for restaurant style grills. This brush is NOT for coated or non-stick surfaces and will remove the coating.
